Episode 34: A Very Izzy Sequel

CTQ’s first ever return guest is the legendary creator of Guitar Hero – Izzy Maxwell! While he lobbies for votes (“Vote Izzy Maxwell for anything!”), Alex makes a pitch for the fictitious “Half Metal Jacket” and Matty passionately defends the band Alien Ant Farm. Later we learn whether Alex actually got food poisoning from Taco Bell in middle school, or whether that was just an elaborate ruse to see the R-rated A Time To Kill. PLUS: What do The Exorcist, Fools Rush In, and Airplane have in common?

QUEUE CONTENDERS: Nothing. We didn’t watch a movie.

Episode 33: Hannah Stiefel

Join Alex, Matty, and their guest Hannah Stiefel on a deep LOST dive, as they uncover hidden secrets regarding Tabula Rasa and the fuselage. Hannah educates the guys on how to pronounce “Ralph Fiennes,” why Christian Bale eats so much tuna, and where the American Beauty bag really came from. Plus – Matt forces Alex and Hannah to play way too many rounds of over/under.

QUEUE CONTENDERS:

“Adult Beginners” (2014), “Mystery Team” (2009), “Night Owls” (2015)

Episode 32: Tim Blane

Pop open a bottle of L’deracola (or a Large Farva, if you prefer) and join the guys in celebrating the New Year with their friend Tim Blane – not to be confused with voice actor Tim Blaney. Tim describes what it was like to see Rogue One through a “yellow filter,” while Alex attempts to discern what level Star Wars fan he is. Matty’s preoccupied trying to define the term “indie darling” and almost misses Tim’s big reveal: the secret identity of Banksy! (it’s his brother)

QUEUE CONTENDERS: “Bob Roberts” (1992), “Man on Wire” (2008), “Short Term 12” (2013
